Both my wife and I have received physical therapy for sports-related injuries, and I was more of a frequent flyer having right shoulder issues and left hip issues. As a physician, I was impressed by his knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics. As a healer, he was amazing. Great demeanor, empathy, kindness and caring. Although I am currently living in Toronto, if I need physical therarpy, I will continue to see him and fly down to NYC. He is that good.

Jason is amazing to work with. His wealth of knowledge allows him to carefully listen to all of your issues and fix the root of each problem. There has been no issue, knot or injury too big for him to fix. If anyone can help you overcome an injury it would be Jason. Did I forget to mention he is also just a great guy.

Jason is an incredible PT! He’s usually out of network so it may cost more than in network places like Spear, but his knowledge is unrivaled. He’s able to diagnose the likely scenario much better than any PT I have ever seen, in the first 10 minutes of the session. He stays with you the entire time and answers any questions you might have, unlike other PT places where you get a trained PT for 30 min and a tech for 30 min. I recommend Jason to all my friends and family who have any issue, big or small, because he has always been incredibly helpful and well worth the money.

Frequently Asked Questions

What you need to know about starting PT near the Flatiron District.

Can I start physical therapy without seeing my doctor first?

Yes. New York allows direct access to physical therapy, so you can schedule a phone consult or book your first visit without a physician referral. If your insurance requires a referral for possible reimbursement, we can help coordinate that after your initial evaluation.

How long are sessions, and how many will I need?

Sessions are typically 45 to 60 minutes which are 2, 3, and 5 months, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Most people start with one to two visits per week, then adjust based on progress. After your evaluation, we'll give you a clear sense of what to expect.

Will I need to stop running or training during PT?

Not usually. We build your plan around what you can do safely while we address the root cause. For most people, smart training is part of the recovery process. If you're training for a race, we'll help you modify your plan as needed.

Why is this more expensive than traditional PT clinics in NYC?

We're cash-based by choice so we can provide one-on-one time with a DPT, use advanced testing tools like running gait analysis and force plates, and create plans around your sport and goals—not insurance restrictions. You're paying for personalized care and outcomes that last.

What should I bring to my evaluation?

Wear athletic clothes you can move in—shorts or leggings and a t-shirt are ideal. Runners should bring their current training shoes. If you're working on strength or lifting issues, be ready to demonstrate movements so we can evaluate your form.
