What West Village Patients Are Saying

Real results from runners and active adults who got back to training with confidence.

Cristina helped me overcome a knee injury that forced me to miss my goal race last year. In just a couple of months I feel like I’m back in ultra-distance fighting shape! I can’t recommend their practice enough. Cristina actually listens and cares about getting her patients back to doing what they love! Both her and Jason are very informative and check in on your progress often! Sessions can include movement assessments, body work— stretching, mobility, ART, cupping, along with strength/stability movements AND you get sent home with exercises to do in between sessions. 10/10 go see them!

Jason is THE. BEST. He's so kind, really listens, and works with you to get to the root of what's causing your injury. In the hour-long, one-on-one session you receive manual therapy & massage + learn exercises (since it's one-on-one you have Jason's full attention so he can correct any form issues and/or provide adaptions, which I love). He's extremely knowledgeable and is the reason I made it through my last marathon. I cannot recommend him enough...I just wish I'd found him sooner!

I was referred to Jason by multiple people and could not recommend him more highly! Jason is extremely knowledgeable, and has helped me through multiple issues and injuries (foot, hip, back, etc). He has helped me understand different areas of weakness I have and has really helped me improve my strength and mobility, especially as it relates to running. I couldn’t have made it through the NYC Marathon without Jason. He is also incredibly empathetic, patient and warm which is so helpful through injury/pain frustration. I have sent multiple friends to Jason, and trust that he could help anyone with any issue!

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about starting physical therapy in West Village.

Can I start PT without a doctor's referral in New York?

Yes. New York allows direct access to physical therapy, so you can schedule a phone consult or book your first appointment without seeing a doctor first. If your insurance requires a referral for out-of-network reimbursement, we can help coordinate that after your evaluation.

How long are sessions, and how often will I need to come in?

Sessions are typically 45 to 60 minutes and we have a 2, 3, or 5 month plan depending on your needs. Most people start with one to two visits per week, then adjust based on progress and goals. We build your schedule around your training and life, not rigid protocols.

Will I have to stop running or training while I'm in PT?

Not usually. We build your plan around what you can do safely while we work on the root issue. For most people, smart training is part of the recovery process. If you're mid-marathon plan or training for an event, we'll help you modify your program.

Why is this more expensive than other PT clinics in NYC?

We're cash-based by choice so we can give you one-on-one time with a DPT for the full session, use advanced testing tools, and build a plan around your sport and goals—not insurance codes. You're paying for expertise, attention, and data-informed care that gets results.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Wear athletic clothes you can move in shorts or leggings and a t-shirt work great. If you're a runner, bring your current training shoes. If you're working on a lifting or strength issue, be ready to demonstrate movements so we can assess your mechanics.
